WHY IS TEMPERATURE CONTROL SO IMPORTANT?

The optimal temperature for long-term storage of wine is 55-57 degrees.  This is the same for red, white, rose, or Champagne. At 55 degrees, a wine is able to mature in a balanced manner, mellowing acidity and softening tannins creating a more enjoyable wine. Too warm or too cool, aspects of the wine will age at different rates potentially causing the wine to become disjointed and unbalanced. Just a few hours in at 80 degrees can ruin a wine, creating stewed fruit flavors. However, a few days at 65 degrees will not cause a noticeable difference.

To help ensure the quality of your wine, Cellar Masters also offers annual service contracts to maintain the optimal operation of your cooling system after installation.

Cellar Masters has a dedicated team to install and service your cooling equipment.  We recommend servicing your system at least once a year to ensure optimal operation.
